About A.C.T. Apparel
A.C.T. Apparel is a clothing brand specifically designed for tall and thick women. The brand was created with the goal of providing high-quality and fashionable clothing options for women who have struggled to find clothes that fit their unique body types. However, we do custom orders for those who do not fit the criteria.
The A.C.T. part of the brand's name is the initials of the founder, Andrea C. Thomas. The issues were and are very personal for her. She could never find pants long enough for her tall stature. She decided to fix the issues by designing her own clothing line starting with pants.
Our brand's philosophy is to empower women to aim high, create their own paths, thrive in all areas of their lives, and look good while doing so. A.C.T. Apparel is dedicated to helping women feel confident and stylish by providing clothes that fit well and flatter their figures.
A.C.T. Apparel's goal was to focus on pants. While on this journey, it was discovered that these thick and tall women were also having problems finding tops. We will offer shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, and outerwear in the future.
The Process
The process of a designer for the A.C.T clothing line, specifically catering to "Tall" women, begins with an infusion of inspiration. The designer draws from diverse influences such as modern culture, personal experiences, global fashion trends, and the unique aspects of styling for the tall women.
A.C.T. was designed to cater to tall women who often find themselves defaulting to basics, simply because they can't find anything what they want.
In the design development phase, the designer translates these insights into sketches, choosing fabrics, colors, and embellishments that flatter tall women. The designs aim to balance aesthetics with comfort, creating attractive and functional styles.
Production planning involves the meticulous calculation of costs, sourcing suitable materials, and coordinating with manufacturers to create clothing that embraces the height of its wearers.
Following rigorous quality checks, the collection is ready for launch. Together with the marketing team, the designer crafts compelling campaigns to promote the line, capturing the attention of tall and sexy women. The goal is to position A.C.T. as a brand celebrating height, empowering women to feel fabulous in their skin.
